While some are very innovative, most apps are absolute garbage. After spending an admittedly insane amount of time searching through the tons of free apps in the itunes store, we compiled a list of the few apps that we found to be valuable.

 

On a future article, we will be jumping into the world of paid apps. But for now, enjoy out list of favorite iPhone apps:

 

 

 

 

Shazaam (Music)

Shazaam allows you to identify music playing on the radio or tv by holding your phone towards the music and pressing a button.

Why not feed your Facebook addiction on the go? While you can browse the regular version of Facebook on the iPhone, it could be a pain in the ass to scroll through the huge pages. This app does a pretty good job at carrying over the features of the regular site while keeping it lightweight and easy to browse.

Anyone who’s dreamt of having the world in the palm of their hands MUST get this app. It’s basically a fully interactive version of the regular Google Earth application available for your home computer… only on your friggin phone!

Fantasy Lens (Fun with Pictures)

This fun little app will allow you to create a photo-montage of your friends using only the iPhone. It features tools that allow you to adjust your the face in the image to achieve pretty good results. I created the pictures above using some of the life team as models.

Tap Tap Revenge 2 (Games)

Tap tap revenge is like Guitar Hero in your pocket. The whole point is smashing bubbles to the beat of a song. While it may seem simple it is highly addictive; I’m almost ashamed to think about how many times I’ve dork’ed out while playing this game in public.
