Seabear
Seabear is band that I first heard about from my father more than a year ago, they are Icelandic and have been touring the world while introducing their album, “The ghost that carried us away”
I’ve been in Iceland now for about a month and as I was driving through my country, I went trough my fathers CD’s to see where he get’s his inspiration, KaBOOoM, Found it!
It’s funny to say but two of the band members are my old friends from highs school, I think that the first day I met Örn Ingi, (the guitar player) was when he was in front of me in line at the cafeteria in school, ordering a “Two barrel” hot dog… you read right, two barrel hot dog!
Right there I knew he was a genius! because, why wouldn’t you want two hot dogs in one hot dog bread! It definitely beats only one hot dog…
Seabear has been busy in the studio last months recording their second album, it’s almost finished. It will be released in January 2010.
Here are few of their videos from songs of The album, The ghost that carried us away.
I sing I swim was directed by Ingibjörg Birgisdóttir & Sindri Már Sigfússon
Hands Remember directed by Lars Skjelbreia.
Arms directed by Klas Sivertson and Henrik Burman
If you are in Iceland right NOW I suggest you go to Hafnarfjörður to an old theater called Bæjarbíó and see them play live with Amiina, Kippi and MTE. The Concert starts at 20:30 pm I wish I was still in Iceland because I wouldn’t miss it!!!
I actually shot and directed a music video inside that little theater last summer for a band called Spacevestite for their single Sleazy going.
Here is that video, I hope you enjoy it!
