FRIENDSWITHYOU Found A Home

“Shop Happy” is what this event is all about. FRIENDSWITHYOU is the name given to the magical world created by Samuel Albert Borkson and Arturo “Tury” Sandoval III. This collective art project started back in 2002, and has grown into an established whimsical community of magic, luck, and friendship. Today, FWY has grown and branched out to art shows, merchandising, licensing, and commercial projects.

FWY has already toured the country under the magic • luck • friendship philosophy, setting up installations in Vegas, Indianapolis, New York, and Miami, of course. Once you walk into Samuel and Arturo’s world, you are taken to the land where you can find characters like Mr. TTT Burger, Malf, King Albino, Shoebaca, and many more…

For Art Basel 2009, FWY has locked a space down and is opening a Flagship Store. Appealing to adults and kids, this store will sell limited edition apparel, prints, collectible toys, fine art, sculptures, and the rest of the FRIENDSWITHYOU products. I am more than excited to see what they have put together in this space, considering what these guys have done in the different cities they visited. Setting up a home for their creative project will definitely help establish the FWY magical reign over Miami, and Basel is the right time to do it.

The official store opening party will take place on Tuesday, December 1st at 6PM-10PM. The store is located at 3930 NE 2nd Ave, Suite 202. Miami, FL 33137. Be there to experience the new home to Miami’s own artists for an evening in which fine art meets consumer products!
